Candle Safety

It is important to us at Candle Crew that you are burning candles safely and responsibly. Please take a minute to read the safest practices when it comes to burning candles. We have provided a list for you below.

Always keep candles away from children and pets, especially when burning.

Never leave a candle burning unattended.

Never burn candles less than 10cm apart.

Never burn candles near things which can catch fire.

Do not place candles near or in a draught.

Do not store or place candles near a source of heat.

Place candles in an upright position.

Trim the wick to around 1cm before burning.

Always snuff out the flame, do not blow it.

Always use a candle holder when burning candles.

Always use a candle holder or heat resistant mat when burning candles.

Keep the wax pool clear of matches and other debris to avoid flaring.

Only use tea light in holders and warming stoves with sufficient ventilation.

Do not move a burning or hot candle.

Never use liquid to extinguish a candle.

In addition to using sustainable materials and recyclable packaging we also fund planting of trees for every order we receive. This helps offset any carbon emissions made by our candles.
Candle Crew is a small family based business. All of our candles are mixed, poured and labelled by hand by our family here in the UK.
Soy wax is plant based. This means our wax is fully sustainable as it comes from renewable sources. Paraffin candles are a product of the oil industry. Soy is not.
All of our packaging is full recyclable. We only use card based packaging which makes it easy too. We also have a ZERO plastic policy when it comes to shipping our products.
By using plant based wax and recyclable materials to produce our candles we can be sure our candles are sustainable for years to come.
